What can I do to beat the Celtics in my NBA 2k9 playoffs?

Undecided Question

What can I do to beat the Celtics in my NBA 2k9 playoffs?

I decided to take this seriously and kind of know what being in the NBA feels like. I created a player and I have my association with the Bobcats, I played all 82 games in superstar difficulty.

ok. My record is 65-17, best in the East. But the problem is Boston, they are #2 and although we are already in the second round and they are against #3 Miami and I am against #5 Atlanta, I am very concerned because I lost both of my meetings with Boston. How can I win the series?

My starting line-ups. (* asterisk shows players that have been created, I will give you some info about them so you know how they play)

C- *Taribo Yang- 7'2" – defensive player, but not really an offensive weapon, averaging 6 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.
PF- Amare Stoudemire
SF- Gerald Wallace
SG- *Erik Smith- 6'4"- the NBA Rookie of the year, a deadly shooter from 3 land, and a highflyer, really an offensive weapon. Average of 19 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assist, 1.6 steals, 0.9 blocks.
PG- Kenyon Dooling

(I chose a normal team, I don't like All-Star teams I like to work for what I have)

Alright, How can I beat the Celtics, or at least what can I do to have a better chance at doing it?

I usually play Full court D. I Double Team Ray Allen seeing as he is really dangerous from the 3 Pt Line. Your center sounds decent enough to guard KG but definatly concentrate on Pierce and Allen, don't worry too much about Pierce

Youd Have to get Stoudemire to dominate the paint put KG in foul trouble. Take Stoudemire off Garnett to preserve him from foul trouble. Use Wallace to play good Defense on Pierce and use Smith to nail a bunch of open threes when stoudemire is double teamed.

Lockdown D mostly against Paul Pierce and Ray Allen…use your Guard … in this case Dooling and help in double teamming either Pierce or Ray Allen… since Rondo wont jump shot often.offensively…. use pick and roll often to make Erik Smith wide open for a clear shot. Ray Allen can barely block this dude.or evenJust let make sets for amare or gerald for lots of alleyoops… that works wonder since both of them are athletic….

Well, first let me say good luck. Unfortunately these games are designed to let the "All-Star" teams win. Ex: I was S.A. playing L.A. in the Western Conference Finals, game 7, 4th quarter with 2:03 left to play, I was up by 11. L.A. called a time-out after that the Spurs (me) shot 1-9, while Kobe and L.A. shot 7-10 with 4 offensive rebounds, not to mention I got 2 charges, but when Kobe or Odom drove the lane and hammered my guys it was no foul. Simelarities happened to my cousin when he was the Heat playing the Cavs. But if you really wanna go at it, I say give the ball to Amare and let him go to the bucket, try to get KG into foul trouble, Deny the ball from Allen and play him tight, don't let him get hot! As for Pierce, just do your thing with him, you might be able to afford him making some. Don't take alot of jump shots, ball movement is the key and attack open lanes. Source(s): I played 2k9 everyday for like, 6 months straight. And I'm talking 4-5 hours a day.
