so my junior prom was last night. and i had asked this guy that i really like to prom. and hed said yes. but then we found out a few days ago that he had a soccer game on the day of prom, and he was planning on going to it and coming late to prom. so my best friend (whos known him for a while) mentioned it to him and he said he was trying to get out of it, and then later that day i called him while she was over but he didnt know that and he was on speaker phone and he was saying hes trying to get out of it, and stuff like that. then the next day, he had practice so he talked to his coach and then the next day (so the day before prom) i asked him what his coach said, and he said that he had to go to his game but he was going to skip the second half, and come to prom after the first half. (he couldnt miss the entire game because it was a college showcase game.) so i said ok, because i figured it was better than nothing and my best friend had called him and kinda yelled at him about it and stuff, and her dad called his dad and talked father to father to him. so i was pretty glad he was trying to get to prom in general.
so at prom, we were waiting for him to show up, and he had said he should be there around 7 or 715, and id told him to text me when he was close, and at like 750 i got a text saying he was 5 mins away. when he got there, i got up, and he came over (because dinner had just been served) and we hugged (woooo) and then we did the corsage/boutonniere thing, and then we ate.
when people started to dance, we got up, and we went to the dance floor too. i tend not to dance, but i did some at prom. so we were kinda dancing together, and i guess at one point, my date was talking to my best friend and he was saying that he was trying to dance with me but he didnt know how to get me to move and she said that she was my best friend and didnt know. im not sure if he was just trying to get me to dance with him because he knows i like him and he had said that he would make sure that i had a good time because he felt bad for being late and id told him that i was going to hold him to that and he said he promised.
and we had been talking for a while, mainly about traveling to europe, and soccer (because i know hes really into soccer and stuff) and we were talking about that, and he knew my mom was english so we were talking about england and then i asked if he had a favorite soccer team and he said he likes english teams mainly chelsea and i was like ooh my family likes liverpool and he was like oh really and we were talking about that for a bit and he asked if id ever been to a soccer game in england and i said no but id been to a game liverpool vs celtics in boston and he was like oh cool
and at the end of the night, we took the limo back to my best friends house, and when his dad came to get him, he got up and asked me if he could have a goodnight hug and i got up, and we hugged (and i felt really short.. hes like half a foot taller than me).
so idk. i really dont know if he likes me, im thinking not, but idk, im still kinda hoping that he might.
what do you think? and there were points where we werent talking, or where hed gotten up for a bit and either gone to get a drink, or gone to tlak to someone else, and once when we were dancing, he was like moving around so he could maybe find someone else? idk, but he didnt leave and go to them or anything.
